PLEASE NOTE:  We can also include either a flight from Dublin or Glasgow to Donegal and in these cases we also automatically include a car rental (group B car for the duration of the tour) OR we can include a return ferry with Stena Line from Stranrear to Larne, Holyhead to Dublin or Fishguard top Rosslare (or any combination of these routes) please see prices below.

Day 1: Guests make their way to Donegal and to the Nesbitt Arms Hotel, Ardara where 3 nights bed and full Irish breakfast is included.  www.nesbittarms.com 

Day 2:  This morning we include cycle Hire and the services of an expert cyclist guide who will escort guests on a tailor made routing through South West Donegal, including many Archaeological sites. A packed lunch is also included from the hotel and the guide will detail parts of Irish legends and folklore at various stunning viewpoints in the region. Later travel via the Glengesh Pass to the finishing point which depending on the wishes of the clients can be 30 – 60 km from the start point. Tonight guests can enjoy a wonderful evening of traditional Irish music at a local pub - Ceol, Caint agus Craic

Day 3: Guests are free to enjoy a drive including Donegal Town and Donegal Castle  Killybegs, Kilcar, Slieve league (Europe’s highest sea cliffs) and Glencolmcille. Entrance is also included to the Glencolmcille Folk Village. Later return to the the hotel

Day 4. Customers travel today via the secret back road through Glenveagh National Park via Gartan Lake into Glenveagh where entrance to the national park is included. Later travel via Kilmacrenan and a stop at the #1 view in Donegal at Lough Salt and after enjoying an optional lunch in the Glen Bar travel to Downings and around the stunning Atlantic Drive and then to Milford for 2 nights bed and full Irish breakfast at the Milford Inn, Milford Co Donegal. www.milfordinnhotel.com/

Day 5: Today guests are met by an expert local walking guide who will take them on a half day wonderfully scenic walking tour of the Fanad peninsula, it’s a short transfer to the start point and a packed lunch is included. The distance of the tour will be tailored to suit the guests giving the opportunity for some to end after 15-20 KM and take a transfer back to the hotel OR to continue a full route before ending at the hotel. The guide will also talk about the colourful local history of the region. The afternoon is free for guests to explore the area.

Day 6: After the full Irish breakfast guests will travel around the north coast road of Donegal via Creeslough, Dunfanaghy, into Ireland largest Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking) region through An Fál Carrah, Gort a Choirce to Dún Luiche where entrance is included to Ionad Cois Locha a fantastic community run visitor centre where guests will see a short audio visual film and enjoy a weaving demonstration and an Interactive turf Cutting demonstration. Later travel the short distance to the hotel and check in for a final overnight at either Teac Jack at Glassagh or Cáisleain Oir both superb family run hotels with excellent food. Bed and full Irish breakfast is included in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht where Irish is the first language spoken and guests can actually feel the difference. Smell the turf burning in the Homes of Donegal and receive what Ireland has always been very famous for, a true Irish welcome into a Gaelic community. They will meet Real Irish people. Enjoy the real culture and traditions of a region almost unaffected by the mad rush which has affected the world. In the late afternoon guests will meet for an evening guided Sea Kayak tour along part of the rugged Atlantic Coast (weather permitting). The tour will stop at one of Donegal’s uninhabited island where we include an evening barbeque and a storytelling session with a German speaking storyteller detailing some local legends and Irish folk tails on the island before Sea kayak back. Time to freshen up and this evening we include an evening of traditional and Folk Music including return transfers at Leo’s tavern the home of Clannad and Enya here gusts will meet some of the Brennan Family and listen to amazing local talent playing the traditional Irish Instruments, reciting local Séan Nos poems and stories and singing traditional Irish Songs.

Day 7:  Enjoy a Full Irish breakfast and then if a flight inclusive package is booked guests will have some free time to enjoy the scenery of West Donegal before taking the short flight back to Dublin and the return journey home.  If no flight is included you have the option to extend your stay or return home.
